Allan & Bath support and take part in successful Ringwood Rabbit Run

Local letting specialists, Allan & Bath, were delighted to support and take part in the 2013 Ringwood Rabbit Run on 24th March.

The event was a great success, with 400 runners, including five of Allan & Bath’s team members, taking part in the 5k and 10k races. With the temperature barely above freezing it was a challenging but enjoyable run through the beautiful New Forest.

Allan & Bath’s Branch Manager, Nick Beavan, says: “We were very pleased to lend our support to this great event, which was organised by the 1st Poulner Scout Group to raise funds for their ongoing commitment to develop Scouting in Malawi and to build and run a Multi Activity Centre (MAC) in Poulner.

“Well done to everyone who took part; we hope that all the juniors enjoyed the goodie bags we provided and we look forward to supporting this fantastic event next year.”

The Ringwood Rabbit Run raised money for Scouting in Malawi which aims to promote Scouting as a means of helping to address some of the problems in Malawi, one of the world's least-developed countries. The project works to develop young Malawian’s knowledge, skills and attitudes in order to make them effective and responsible citizens and fosters an ethos of volunteering and community self-help.

It also raised funds for a project to build a Multi Activity Centre in Poulner for use of both the Scout Group and the wider community, in particular local schools. The Centre will include facilities for shooting, archery and a climbing wall.
